Lý thuyết ôn tập thì Hiện tại đơn

1. Định nghĩa

  • Thì hiện tại đơn (Simple Present tense) là thì được sử dụng để diễn đạt một hành động thường xuyên, theo thói quen hoặc lặp đi lặp lại, một quy luật, một lịch trình hoặc để diễn đạt một sự thật, chân lý hiển nhiên.
  • Đây là một điểm ngữ pháp quan trọng trong tiếng Anh.

2. Các thể trong thì trong Tiếng Anh

  • Thể khẳng định:

I am a student study at the International school of Can Tho University.

  • Thể phủ định:

I do not travel with my friends, I will have a trip with my family.

  • Thể nghi vấn:

Do you a nurse?

Does she live near my father’s house?

Chúng ta dùng dùng thì Hiện tại đơn trong những trường hợp sau:

  • Diễn tả các trạng thái ở hiện tại

I am excited.

(Tôi hứng thú.)

  • Diễn tả một thói quen thường xuyên

I have breakfast at 7am every day.

(Tôi ăn sáng vào 7 giờ sáng mỗi ngày).

  • Diễn tả sự việc thường xuyên lặp đi lặp lại

I go swimming once a week.

(Tôi đi bơi mỗi tuần một lần).

  • Diễn tả sự thật hiển nhiên

The sun rises in the east.

(Mặt trời mọc ở hướng Đông).

  • Một sự việc diễn ra trong tương lai đã được lên lịch cụ thể

The plane takes off at 11am.

(Máy bay sẽ cất cánh vào 11h).

Dấu hiệu nhận biết

Thì hiện tại đơn thường đi kèm với các trạng từ, cụm từ chỉ mức độ thường xuyên:

  • Always: lúc nào cũng, luôn luôn
  • Every day/week/month/year: hằng ngày/ tuần/ tháng/ năm
  • Usually: thường xuyên, thường thường
  • Often: thường xuyên
  • Sometimes: thỉnh thoảng, đôi khi
  • Seldom: hiếm khi
  • Rarely: hiếm khi
  • Hardly ever: hầu như không bao giờ
  • Never: không bao giờ

Ví dụ:

It’s always cold in this room. (Căn phòng này lúc nào cũng lạnh lẽo)

I often go to school by bus. (Tôi thường xuyên đi học bằng xe bus)

I rarely have time to watch TV. (Tôi hiếm khi dành thời gian xem TV)
